Our principal and staff

Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.

Welcome from our principal

Welcome to Bungendore Public School. Established in 1868, we sit proudly in the centre of Bungendore, on the lands of the Ngunnuwal and Ngambri nations.

At our school, we work hard to educate, inspire, and nurture, and I am proud to lead a large rural community where every child is known, valued and supported. Our core values of being respectful, engaged and safe, guide our whole-school approach to learning and wellbeing. This is ‘The Bungendore Way’.

Our entire school staff are committed to creating a caring and inclusive learning environment, centred on high expectations for all. Evidence-based, explicit teaching practices form the foundations of learning across all key learning areas, with significant emphasis in literacy and numeracy.

We celebrate the diverse backgrounds and talents of our students through our high potential and gifted education offerings, and our vibrant culture in sports and performing arts showcases the achievements of our dedicated staff and engaged families.

With a supportive parent community and excellent facilities, we provide a solid foundation for learning and growth. I warmly invite you to join us and experience the welcoming environment that makes our school truly special.
