Oh what a night! Early June in 2018, what a very special time for us, we’ll remember, what a night! And while The Young Ones from Young may not have played The Four Seasons tonight, they certainly played top music from our current and previous decades.
The hall looked spectacular, from the sparking glasses and gorgeous floral centre pieces by Heather Krause to the brilliant lighting by Sidestage Production Services, it was a far cry from the school hall that will next week again see sport groups and assemblies take the stage.
For those of us who have not before enjoyed the culinary delights from Vanessa and her team at Vanilla Catering in Braidwood we were not disappointed. The general consensus certainly is that if a second edition of our BPS Cookbook comes out we would love the recipe for those mains, and desserts, too appear. Vanessa and her team certainly delivered on a menu fitting of our 150th Anniversary.
There are always many people to thanks for events such as these but a few important mentions must be made. Huge thanks to our fabulous volunteer servers, all ex students now in high school, who gave up their night to make ours all the more special. Also thank you to the children of the Bungendore Youth Orchestra who played several pieces tonight to start our evening off on a high. Of course huge thanks go to our amazing sponsors whose support always blows us away. There are many happy dancers walking away with some amazing gifts donated by many local supporters.
After wishing the band safe travels back to Young and watching the lighting team disassemble their scaffolding it is with a huge sigh and a big smile that I can think of our amazing 150th Anniversary Ball, and now to the future - what may be next for our 150th Year!
